The Art Of Wine Making

Developing wines with that rare flavor which lingers with the wine connoisseur for long after it has been served is what sets it apart from the rest. Wine brewing is something which requires a great deal of finesse and a taste for the exquisite and enthralling, of course. That is what makes some of the wineries stand high above the rest.

Wine brewing is an intricate process which involves careful selection of grapes for flavor before they are made to pass through various stages that culminate with the birth of finest of the wines. Merlot, for instance, is an exquisite variety of grapes used to make wines which bear more of a fruit-like flavor blended with that of grapes. Bordeaux wine is also primarily made of Merlot grapes which lend it with that special flavor.

Next, the grapes are crushed and left for fermentation to make different varieties of grape wines. The way grapes are left to ferment makes them suitable for making a particular variety of wine. If one is looking to make Rose wine, the red grapes would be fermented in such a way that their juices pick up a pinkish shade from their skins. When making white wine, red grapes could be fermented such that the juices do not take on any added color from their skins.

Even when the fermentation is going on, a little of yeast is made to come in contact with the grapes. This helps in transforming the element of sugar present in the grapes into ethanol and carbon dioxide. The remaining portion of sugar slowly turns into alcohol and later they are put in oak barrels before being bottled.

Wine makers know very well that Merlot grapes can serve as an excellent blending agent while making wines. They offer the opportunity to come up with new flavors by carefully blending them with other varieties of grapes. If done successfully, the new flavor could well be a novel addition to the wine collection being developed.

In order to create any new blended flavor to the wines, a variety of grapes are used in different ways for the purpose. Some of these grapes popular with the wine brewer for their unique taste and texture include Cabernet Savignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec amongst others. All of these grapes stand out for the kind of unique flavor they lend to a variety of wines. Cabernet Savignon is famous for its green pepper flavor which is developed with the help of its unique characteristics displayed in fermenting.

To make better tasting wines, healthier varieties of grapes might be used but the flavors produced are dependent on the inherent texture and taste of the grape for most of the time. Merlot, for one, is an especially recommended variety of grapes used for combining various textures and tastes while making wines.

The right kind of climate and temperatures also play an important role in facilitating development of fine wines. In this sense, California offers some of the best conditions for wine making in the region. Bogle Phantom is an excellent example of the same.

Bogle Phantom is a unique blend of lush berry and spice into wine. The end product is a rich ruby drink that is deep in color and texture. Its taste is equally rich, combining the aromas of sweet fig and anise with a hint of black pepper – making it a tantalizing wine, appealing to both the palate and nose. This blend can be enjoyed on three distinctive levels – from its rich, dark depths, you can also taste the subtle hints of cloves and vanilla. And finally, this is completed by the fruity flavors. Many a wine expert has gleefully characterized the Bogle Phantom as the perfect showcase of these very distinct palatal tastes.

As with most wine, the more aged it is, the better. The Bogle Phantom is no different – with age and optimally stored in oak barrels, the three distinctive varietals will only blend even more smoothly making it even more valuable as a vino. Beyond a doubt, it is one of the best wines ever produced and is the pride and joy of the Bogle vineyards – who are proud to say that they are the owners and original brewers of this wine.

As a wine enthusiast, Jade Varnes always recommend that you select the right wine for the right occasion or meal in order to get the best out of the wines. As an avid collector, she has in her collection wines such as cabernet sauvignon, cakebread cellars, principato, Rombauer, malbec, opus one and so on, just to list a few. What are the effects of cooking food with wine or any other alcoholic product?

Inferno posted:

For example, if you should cook chicken soup and pour about a cup of wine with a taste for it, count as alcohol? If I should be tested in near future to alcohol, would prove the positive? Would it be appropriate for children to drink the soup? Keep in mind that wine is not made especially for cooking. It 's like any other alcoholic beverage. Also, other examples include the rum cake or beer-spoiled fish. Do the same effect as drinking alcohol that is cooked to the right of the bottle? Thank you.
