Thats a bloody big looking dog on the front of the label, and if you didn’t know that Virat is the wild dog of Mallorca you’d be wonder why on earth you’d put that picture on the front label of a bottle of wine. I was anyway. This is an entry level callet, the indinious grape of Mallorca, made by Ana Martin. I’m really getting into this variety, it offers something very different and more importantly, its a super enjoyable guzzle. The nose is a little slow to get started but there are some sunny cherries, sage, sea spray, a little tobacco and mocha.

General English to Spanish Translation – Hello All, I’ve been trying to make up the meaning of the phrase for ten days, and still haven’t found it. In a text Timothy Garton Ash writes on the European Union, he calls the future foreign policy of the Union “diplomats’ daily salmon and wine, but of no interest to an ordinary joe”. Do you think the translation “con lo que desayunan cada día los diplomáticos, pero que interesa muy poco a un tipo normal” is acceptable? Thanks.

Wine & Dine: Chilejoelens.blogspot.com

For this month’s Wine & Dine event, we highlighted Chilean wine and cuisine. It’s a wonderful cuisine that is heavy with seafood dishes, squash, corn, quinoa, olives and potato. Taking a lot of influence from Spanish cuisine, it’s not really spicy but rather pretty mild. Our Chilean dinner was full of so many dishes and flavors, all working nicely together and even better with the Chilean wines we had. Here’s our menu we enjoyed, which made for a fabulous Chilean evening…

Picking up vocabulary is a hard thing to do in any language. But Mega Vocab in Rocket Spanish makes it too smooth. The main fundamental behind this is to create a link in the brain forms by repeatedly seeing an image or image and sound together. You start off by selecting what you want to be tested on. You practice vocabulary from any of the 20 specialized topics, including “Traveling,” “Food and Wine,” “The Weather,” and more. When you have selected what you want to be tested on, press ‘Start’ and you will be shown a picture and the English word.
