Last sunday, my dad and I tried out Saison , a new spot in the Mission. It’s an intriguing operation. Headed up by chef Joshua Skenes (of Carte 415 and formerly of Chez TJ) together with Markris Wine Group (sommelier Mark Bright of Local and formerly Michael Mina, plus business partner Kristopher Ezqueda), Saison is a once week event that I hesitate to call a restaurant. Every Sunday night, they borrow the kitchen, back room, and garden of Stable Cafe, and serve 2 rounds of dinner.

Cory captured this shot of La Sagrada Familia during our only day of sightseeing in Barcelona. Our trip was packed full of events for HiT Barcelona and we were only able to get away for a quick taste of the city. The pictures went up in our gallery long ago, but I never got around to posting about it! It was amazing to finally see in person the Gaudi buildings I had learned about in school.  We sampled the local sparkling wine, Cava, and enjoyed our favorite Spanish cheese, Idiazabal.

There’s no bigger problem in ones study of the biblical writings than ones hermeneutics. Simply defined, hermeneutics is the science of scripture interpretation. What affects our hermeneutics, however, is our paradigm. In fact, if we all had the same paradigm, same IQ, and spent the same amount of time in our study of the writings, we would all draw the same conclusions.
