Who would believe that the smallest and most industrialised of all South Africa’s provinces contains such a collection of traditional and cultural homesteads?! From turn of the century Voortrekker white and coloured farmsteads to colourful Ndebele, Zulu huts to Credo Mutwa’s garden of mythical African figures – there is certainly a homestead for just about every filming requirement.

You’ve brewed your own coffee liqueur , Skittles-flavored vodka , and even made edible shot glasses . What could be left in your alcohol-powered bag of tricks? It’s time to brew some homemade wine. Photo by Rein Rache. . First let’s clear the air on this experiment: you’re no Monopole, and this isn’t going to yield a vintage bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild Pauillac. What you will end up with, however, is a home-brewed concoction that is around 10% alcohol and mixes well with other things like juice or, as the guide suggests, some good old Kool-Aid.

Wow, after months of spending my weekends doing nothing but training and sleeping, I finally had an outing! Let’s see… 1. Visited toy museum; 2. Had dinner at this really expensive Japanese Restaurant; 3. Took a walk by the river; 4. Visited a wine shop for first time in my life (I’m non-alcoholic); 5. Sang at KTV; 6. Gone to a carwash; 7. You probably don’t wanna know… :P Ok enough said, here are the pictures. What really bothered me were some vintage posters at the toy museum I’ve always suspected the orientation of our dark knight.

Again, we are so happy to see that our 2004 Brunello di Montalcino is getting such good scores, despite the fact of the difficult vintage. Thanks to our older vines (sometimes over 40 years old) and our high elevations of our vineyards, we were able to make a true and excellent wine made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso. 2004 IL POGGIONE BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO – 92 POINTS High quality and easy availability (more than 17,000 cases are made) make this Brunello a sure bet for consumers who love the rich tastes of Tuscany.

July 26, 2009 Gift baskets are out of date!  Or is it that they’re just boring?  Actually, I hope the correct response is neither.  (Lock it in; that’s my final answer.)  I’m actually a gift food merchant.  Kind of has a special ring to is, doesn’t it?  While I agree that it’s not quite the same as being a test pilot or a neurosurgeon, it’s an honest way to pay for tuition for my grandson.  Or at least it would be a good way to do so if more of you bought my products.

From the very first days after man discovered the art of making wine it has always been their habit of storing extra wine with which to celebrate important occasions and even to enjoy while in the company of their family and friends. What’s more, in these modern times whenever people travel to countries that are famous for making wine they come across certain wines that they would like to buy and store at home.

Economic downturns aren’t ever especially fun, but as Adam Smith observed over two centuries ago, these cycles of paucity and plenty are a fact of life. Although none of us can say for sure when this latest slump will reverse, there are at least sure ways of stretching your cash in the meantime. Here are some penny-preserving ideas tailored to our 21st-century lives:   1. Plenty of people are in the habit of cutting out paper coupons, but even though many of us do part of our shopping on the Internet now, not as many of us seem to have gotten into the habit of coupon-hunting online.

It’s simple, all men either love men or women. There’re good reasons why men love each gender respectively, but let’s just stick on course with women today. Respect, is one of the main affections we men hold for the ladies. Why, it can’t be that difficult to figure that out as a member of the masculine gender. For a start, women are a gorgeous looking bunch who never fail in amazing us men with their beauty exuding in sophistication ( maybe that’s why it’s been said that men will never fully understand women ).

I just went into town with the thought in mind that I had a healthy bank balance and deserved to treat myself. And that I did. Boys may want to stop reading now. Stop 1: Magnolia (Tory St) Finding that Miss Wong was closed, I popped into Magnolia. Purple Necklace: You keep necklaces forever. They’re a good investment. And it was fairly cheap ($25) and the colour of the season! And it kinda clinks when you move. Cards: Cheap way to jazz up your walls at home.
