its better of in the frig
Never refrigerate red wine
NO, you do NOT fuuuucking refrigerate it
I think it will be fine at room temperature as long as the box is closed properly
for the love of god plzzz don’t refrigate it….
Leave on the counter – no refrigeration necessary
Shiraz should be kept in the temperature range of 63 to 70 degrees. A standard refrigerator is too cold.
Depends if it is bottled under screwcap or cork – if it is corked i would refridgerate it as it is a constant temperature and less chance of the wine oxidising through the cork giving a horrible off taste.
Corked wine can still be stored out of the fridge but it is to lay on its side not standing upright where oxygen can travel through the cork. If it is under screwcap, the wine can be kept where-ever and will taste just fine, but keep it out of direct sunlight and excessive temperature changes (so storage in a pantry cupboard would be most suitable)
Unless it says to “chill” it, then no, don’t refrigerate it. Red wine generally does not get refrigerated (there are a few exceptions). Box wine is made to be air proof, that is, the plastic pouch that holds the wine in the box sucks in on itself as you use up the wine, so that the wine stays fresh and does not deteriorate or “oxidize”. When your box of wine gets close to being empty, rip open the box and look at the pouch, you will see what I mean. It will be all sucked in on itself because it is not allowed to replace the wine you take out of it with air. I usually get a pair of scissors at this point and cut open the pouch to get all the wine out of it when it’s almost empty.
Its up to you really. Wine buffs and those who know about wine tell you never to put red in the fridge. Rose however is great in the fridge
I know lots of people who like their pinot noir in the fridge so it seems to be up to personal preference.
There are some great reds out there for reasonable prices so I recommend buying it in a bottle. If you like Shiraz, Woodstock(McLaren Vale, Aus) is such a good thing to spoil yourself with
NEVER PUT RED IN THE FRIDGE!!! u dont drink cold red wine only retards do that…. if u want to store it make sure its in a dry place with a CONSISTANT yet normal temp (temp fluxuation over time = corked wine!) otherwise just leave it on mantle piece or kitchen if u want to drink it.
No, it doesn’t. And one doesn’t drink red wine chilled anyway. However, IMHO, Hardy’s is way overpriced for the quality. You’d be better off with Yellow Tail or Little Penguin Shiraz by the bottle.
no need to refrigerate.
the box seals itself, the bottle can not
keep it cool as a matter of taste, but not in the frig.
Cheers
