I don’t know what we’d do without Hal, our crazy little LA limey correspondent.. great is his writing, humorous are his ways. (You should hear the weird-ass conversations we have on the phone). Anyways, after the screening of Forbidden Zone in color , Hal scored a sweet interview with the man himself! You can check out the questions, and details on his upcoming projects including the long awaited Brave New Rosenburg and Forbidden Zone II after the break! For the uninitiated, how would you describe the Forbidden Zone? Forbidden Zone is essentially, on film, what we did onstage with the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo.

Today was not a good camera day. I was not really up for it for starters and second it poured half the day. Maybe I’m a nightowl when it comes to photos? Somehow the day ended better than it started, photowise. Since I met this really sweet, funny and cool Swiss flight crew at the hotel lobby I haven’t had one single boring moment. They invited me to tag along and from being solo I suddenly had a temporary family of 8. So back to the clichés.

Daily Dose opened in October 2008 and has quickly become a local hotspot with its stylish yet down-to-earth atmosphere and accessible American comfort food. The restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner and is owned by Matt and JenLyn Long of nearby Fusion Restaurant & Lounge. The Hangover sandwich is one of the menu highlights with applewood-smoked bacon, turkey sausage and caramelized jalapeño and onion between thick slices of sourdough toast. Or, pay homage to the good ol’ south with traditional biscuits and gravy.

I just got back from Quebec.  I am reluctantly returning to the world of “sitting in front of the computer all day” after a week of exploring the  ancient cobblestone roads of the old city in Quebec and the radioactive ruins of Washington DC.  Well, I stayed outside of DC, so it MIGHT have been radioactive ruins.  I am pretty sure the line of traffic was refugees.  Quebec.  wow.  I recommend it to you, it is a fantastic place.  Take money, no, more than that, LOTS more than that.  It costs

J. Darius Bikoff J. Darius Bikoff went to the market one day and was sorely unimpressed with the selection of water available. Driven by rumors of water contamination in his neighborhood, he knew it would probably be safer. However, upon arrival, it seemed like all the waters were the same, as if the brands just blended together. Thinking this was a problem, Bikoff did something about it.

Well, as predicted, I forgot to take good pictures of my dinner party. I have a couple, which I may post later … As I said in my last post, for my birthday I decided what I wanted most was to have a traditional seven-course meal and invite some of my closest friends to partake. I ambitiously invited fifteen people, twelve of whom were able to attend–well, eleven really. Natalie was sick. Beginning last Wednesday, I started shopping for the event.
