I am cooking a ham for Christmas and would like some suggestions of a perfect wine pairing for my meal?

    Red – a good Pinot Noir or Barbera would work well – nothing too fruity, though.

    White – a buttery, yet oaky Chadonnay would work well, too.

    For something unconventional, try a dry, crisp Gerwrurtztraminer – it is an effervescent white wine.
