Go m? Sy keep the hu? Spedes happy or less and they could be happy anyway but there is an element of risk? Sparkling wine is not? just for the toast, but as an option? of drink at night.

Since its not just for the toast, I say go with Riccadonna since you know most of the guests like it too.
Your other option is to mix it up and have both available – - you might get others to try and like the less expensive one!
If you LOVE the Omni Blue, I would think many of your guests would also appreciate it. I would go for that option.
Go with what you like. You will not be able to tell the difference from a $9 bottle to a $15 bottle.
I think that’s a great idea. Most people like sparkling wine better because it’s sweeter anyway. You also should try Asti Spumani, it’s about $10 a bottle and very yummy! I’m not familiar with the other 2 brands you mention but I’m sure no one will care what the label says, as long as it’s free!
Champagne has to be produced in the Champagne region of France to be called champagne. Otherwise it’s all sparkling wine. That being said, I doubt if most people have ever really had REAL champagne.
I’d go with an Asti, I’m not familiar with the 2 you mentioned, but Asti tends to be a nice white wine, on the sweeter side. My favorites are either Martini & Rosi, or Ballatore. They are both under $10 a bottle, so I suggest trying both to see which one you like better.
Also, see if you can order a few magnums of what ever you choose, if you’re having poured service, this might save you a little more money! If you’re planning on having the bottles on the table, a magnum wouldn’t work too well.
Good luck, and Congratulations!
Well, if you like it, then you serve it. Just be aware if your tastes vary a lot from the norm (for example, I really like port wine, but would never serve that at my wedding because very few people like it). If the Omni isn’t too sweet or too dry, then I’m sure it’s fine.
Alternatively, have a little champagne party… invite 10 friends over and try out 2 bottles of each in a blind taste test… see which ones they prefer. If there’s a big swing for one or the other, then choose that. If there’s not, then choose the cheapest one. It’s fun, it’s a chance to get together with friends and family, and it makes your decision easier!
If you haven’t tried the Martini & Rossi Asti Sparkling wine, I would suggest opening one, and seeing what you think. Personally, my husband and I love this stuff and we like it better than the actual champange.
I’d go with the one you love. It’s only for the toast, so if they don’t like it, they will toast, sip and put it down. Save the couple bucks, plus it’s the one you love.
There are plenty of sparkling wines, cavas, that are cheaper than $40 a bottle.
I personally like the Segura Viedas Spanish Cavas. The are all really reasonable and the cheapest one they make goes for like $8 a bottle and is has been given an 86 points rating on Wine Spectator.
Cristallino cavas are also good…
I tend to like European and particularly Spanish wines.
Good luck!
Serve what you like. It’s important that you enjoy it. I served $10 sparkling wines at my reception and the guests LOVED it. We were originally looking at $40 – $50 bottles from a wine shop and the manager suggested that we go with something less expensive for a wedding since most guests can’t tell the difference.
Btw – champagne is the name reserved for sparkling wines that are from the Champagne region in France. Sparkling wine refers to all “champagnes” that are not produced and bottled in the Champagne region. I had this hammered into me as a club member at Domaine Carneros, a sparkling wine chateau owned by Tattinger.
I would go with the omni. I like it too and I dont think there is a huge difference in taste to the ricadonna.
You could provide double the wine on the day if you go with the omni or have money for something else.
If you like it, go with it. That is what I am doing. Or why not have a mixture of both!
