What can I serve to eat with a Chianti?

I have a lovely looking bottle of Crete Rosse Chianti and I am having beef tenderloin for dinner. I know Chianti typically goes with pork, but will it be nice with beef?
Too funny…I had told my husband I was going to cook a special dinner to go with this wine, until I realized it was Chianti….gotta love Hannibal!

    Yes it will be nice with Beef.

    there are no rules really. just drink what you like and serve it with food that you like.

    Chianti generally is medium-bodied and very dry, with firm tannins, medium to high acidity and tart cherry aromas and flavors;

    goes very well with pasta, poultry and meat.
