In the Birnbaum planning book it says that the whole Food and Wine Festival created a lot of traffic through all of WDW but especially through Epcot. However, they did say that it’s managable. Personally, I’ve been there during the festival and never had a problems. It’s usually older guests. Have fun!

The World Showcase opens at 11A.M. most days. Advise: No matter which park that you go to in Disney World, the best way to avoid the crowds is to get to the park at least 30 minutes before the park opens. Go directly to the ride that you most want to see first. Then directly to the next on your list, and so on until it gets crowded. The most popular rides in Epcot are Soarin’, Test Track,Mission Space & Nemo/Living Seas. Save Spaceship Earth (The big ball) for later in the day. You will not have to wait. Use the Fastpass system. Don’t avoid the World Showcase, there are many interesting things there. Also. Epcot is so big that it handles crowds well. Hope you have a great time!

Yes EPCOT will be crowded all around the park. But that doesn’t mean you have to avoid the World Showcase, you will miss more than half of the park. And you will love the Food and Wine Festival, a lot of eating and drinking with over 25 countries, very fun! They also offer concerts every day at the America Gardens Theater, check later for schedules.
