What’s a good wedding toast champagne or sparkling wine?

I 'm looking for a good champagne or sparkling wine, but I don' t know where to start! I 'm getting married in a week, and I still have not found one. I 'm on a budget, and I really don' t want to spend much money for the champagne. I was told that the wine is a good alternative. Also, I want one that is sweet and not too dry (I don 't really like dry). Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Korbel is decent and not too pricey (appx. $15/bottle). Cheaper than that and no one will want to drink it.
Try the link below.
i don’t care what anyone says it is your wedding what do you want!
if you want a sweet white wine! I suggest a “Reisling” read the back to ensure it is a semi sweet! or sweet!
I come to found that if you don’t see the word FRUITY on the back of the bottle that it maybe a dry wine!
I also would say go for the RELAX REISLING in a blue bottle it is the BEST if you have time to explore go wine tasting you would be supprized!!!
and if youdo have money to blow
try an ICE WINE it’s the best wine in the world!
and the sweetest!
perferable from black star farms!
but that 80 bucks a bottle! hardly enought for 4 people at dinner!
Try a Prosecco, an Italian Sparkling wine. Congrats.
Ballatore spfumante is always a crowd-pleaser. It’s florid, but not cloyingly so. Martini and Rossi Asti is a little more on the dry side. Another good compromise is Barefoot sparking chardonnay. If you like your whites to stand up on your palate, you’ll like that one. Each of these comes in at the under $20 mark.
Congratulations on your wedding! The only thing I got to enjoy at my wedding was the bubbly. Didn’t even get to taste the cake.
At my wedding, everyone at the table had champagne.. while I had a beer.. do what you want, nothing says you have to have champagne..
First off I would like to say that sparkling wine is without a doubt my favorite alchoholic beverage.
You don’t say what your budget is but you can buy both Schramsberg’s Mirabelle and Mumm’s Cuvee M for less than $20 a bottle. Korbel sells for less than $15 a bottle. You also might want to look for a demi-sec which is much sweeter than a brut. Also you might like an Asti Spumante which you can buy pretty cheap. Personally I don’t like Asti but you’re looking for sweet.
Also I see no reason to pour a sparkler for a toast. Most people don’t like it and end up not drinking it. It’s a total waste of money unless you’re sure that people will drink it. Keep some bottles at the bar and let people order it if they want to actually drink it. There is no rule that says people have to toast with sparkling wine. Let people drink what they want for the toast. Good luck.
I love Moet and Chandon, but I dont know if thats too pricey.
Keep in mind that the only difference between Champagne and Sparkling Wine is the region in which its made. Champagne is made exclusively in Champagne, France, whereas sparkling wine can be made anywhere else.
Martini & Rossi is a good pic….its inexpensive and not too dry.
– Just a note, sparkling wines also come under the name “Spumante”
Tosti Asti is a wonderful and inexpensive champagne-about $7 a bottle depending on where you buy it.
The Cook’s line of sparkling wines is very good for the price.
One idea might be to get their dry white Brut and their sweet Sparkling White Zinfandel which is pink. That way people can have their preference and it’s easy to tell them apart.
Ballatore makes a Spumante that is readily available that sells for less than $10 a bottle. Shop around as I often find it for only $7. It’s sweet and lots of nonwine drinkers usually love it.
