For the 13th consecutive year, Jamaica has been named to Modern Bride’s “The World’s 50 Best Honeymoons” list from the annual survey of Virtuoso travel specialists. Jamaica also ranked in the “Top 10 for Affordability,” at number 3, a desirable spot in today’s economy. Jamaica’s listings are published in Modern Bride’s August/September issue, now available on newsstands. The survey represents an expert polling of a panel of 6,000 Virtuoso travel specialists across the U.S.

  It was so much fun gathering all of these talented women for a photo shoot at The Krohn Conservatory today. We were shooting the photo for “Goddesses of the Harvest: A Celebration of Women in Food” to be  held August 28th at the grand re-opening  of the Krohn, which is currently closed for remodeling. The Goddesses are: Chef Ann Kearney ( Rue Dumaine ) Chef Julie Francis ( Nectar ) Chef  Renee Schuler ( Eat Well Celebrations and Feasts )  Chef Summer Genetti ( The Palace ) and Wine expert/ Big Fish owner Renee Koerner.

It’s hard enough to overcome and get through the asking of the first date. Once you’ve succeeded at that, you’re onto step two: planning the perfect first date. First dates going well is important when you’re really into someone, because if it goes smoothly it’s nearly a guarantee for a second, and then a third. The biggest problem we face with first dates is we don’t usually know the person well. Their likes, dislikes, favorites and what they abhor.
