Kendall Jackson or BV. To be quite honest with you, Chardonnay tastes the same no matter what kind it is…

A reasonably priced chard found on many restaurant menus would be the R. H. Phillips Toasted Head Chardonnay. It’s got the oak and smoke which would only add to the experience of a grilled steak…

Beringer Chardonnay California Founder’s Estate is also generally smoky and oaky, so would be a reasonably priced option as well…

Clos LaChance Chardonnay Santa Cruz Mountains

Higher dollar would be Destino Chardonnay Russian River Valley

    Dynamite Chardonnay Mendocino County

    Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnays

Merryvale Chardonnay Carneros Reserve would be one of my favorites I think… with a big whiff of smoky oak and so much butter and cream coating the palate… and all the way through to the finish.
