try this site an dhere is some info on it

this is just one of the notes from the site i think you will like it

OK. What types of wines and what wineries does anybody like?

I’ve been to Napa/Sonoma and Virginia wine countries but have sampled a lot of diff. area wines.

The first winery we ever visited and tasted was “Ingelnook” which is now Niebaum-Coppola.
    Joined the wine club.

The last winery vist we made was last Nov. at Rombauer in St Helena. Very nice location. Picnic and garden areas. Friendly people and great wines. Located in the foothills off Silverado Trail.

Looking forward going to NV/SV in July for a long 4th of July weekend. Weather should be hot so we should be thristy!

With the Thousands of wineries in California even the so called experts can’t/won’t agree on the best bottle of a particular varietal. Your best bet is to ask friends, and people who taste a lot of wine. Folks whom work in wine stores are a good start. Prepare for a assortment of answers. I always have several bottles ready to open in case the first one isn’t to my liking with a particular meal. I’d suggest tasting wines now in prepration for the Holidays. You’ll have fun and find the perfect bottles for your Holidays.

Navarro Winery has some excellent Pinot Noir. We recently visited their winetasting room and bought two bottles of their 2004 vintage.

Delicato produces a good White Zin

Mirassou has a good 2004 Merlot

Rabbit Ridge produces a nice Red Zin
